Unit is the brainchild of Paul Everest. Paul was given two talents in life: the love of 'art' and the love of 'riding'. Living on the Gold Coast, Australia, in 2002 he looked for a way where he could combine his skills into one distinct entity … enter 'Unit'.

“There was no way I was going to go and get a regular 9-5 job. My plan was to create the dopest action-sports brand of all time. Beginning out of his parents' garage he teamed up with his younger brother Ian. The two pooled together $600 start-up capital and bought a screen printing carousel. The brothers hustled their way up and down the east coast of Australia selling a handful of different tees from the boot of their car. The edgy and fresh designs on the Unit threads were an instant hit with store owners and fellow riders. Within a few months some of the best pros in the moto and bmx industry were supporting the Unit movement.

That's the genius behind Unit - it has always focused on edgy and fresh design.

"I have something to say with my brand; it's not just a logo machine that creates a profit-and-loss statement for it's shareholders," says Paul.

Today, Unit is supported by some of the best motocrossers, BMXers, mountain-bikers and musicians in the world. With its headquarters on the Gold Coast, Australia, Unit has recently established its new international office in San Clemente, California, USA. Unit is now sold in the world's major action-sports retail stores.

"Unit is all about the love of riding, innovative design and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in our sport," explains Paul. “We have exciting plans for the future that go well beyond anything that's ever been accomplished in our field.”

The Unit ‘Age of Panic’ campaign in 2009 went viral globally, attracting the attention of the world’s largest action-sports retailer Pacsun, who saw the image on a jumbotron in Times Square, New York.
