Brett from the Southern Freeriders has been hard at work over the past few months preparing his farm for the 2010 Farm Jam. This years Jam is shaping up huge and is being backed by Red Bull and many other big corporate partners, so things are sure to be amazing. Brett sent through some bloody sweet photos of the riding and progress that you can check out now at the Unit Facebook or Myspace. This is what Brett has to say about everything going on down there!
"Hey, Brett here from the deep south of NZ.
I am riding a lot and the best bike I have ever ridden is my Black Market Mob, 22.25 TT made up with 2010 Marzocchi DJ1, Gravity bars and stem, Atomlab cranks, sprockets, pedals and wheels, Wideopen brakes and ODI lockons. It is amazing!
Things are going very well and its mid season for us bike fanatics. The dirt jumps down here in the lower half of the south island NZ are simply unreal. We have a growing number of talented jumpers around here and nightly sessions on the jumps makes up for the nightly digging we do in the spring rain.
I wanted to say thanks for the continued support and send u a lil peep as to what I have been riding lately. Caleb Smith at Spoke magazine is one of my biggest supporters and I really appreciate what he does for me, he is an amazing photographer and the mag is world class. There are a couple snaps from the mag here which goes out 3 monthly throughout the country and I dont know any bikers that dont read it. Cheers Caleb. There may be another photo in a Black Market ad coming issue which is a great shot of a huge step-up 180 where I was towed in at 60km/h, so I am very much looking forward to seeing it in print.
My brother Dan and I are currently organising the Farm Jam 2010 and its coming along nicely, if its bike dirt jumping that is interesting to you, keep March 6th free and come join the fun. Our blog will have the full Farm Jam run down posted at southernfreeriders.blogspot.com
Special thanks to my sponsors Wideopen distributors, Unit clothing, Adidas Eyewear, Pro-Tec helmets, Dakine, Atomlab, Gravity
Cheers
Brett"
