Cam Pianta makes the most of a rare fine spring day.
Hey guys what's up!
The Benalla Jam a few weeks ago got washed out, so we did what any group of BMXers do when it's raining and they can't ride... pub crawl haha!
Anyways, last weekend my mate Brett Smith turned 20. Every year he has a jam at his place and this year he went to town with brand new jumps and a huge new roll-in. I got there a little later, but I was lucky enough to turn up when everyone was padding up so I quickly got changed and got straight into riding. FCAS were in attendance providing tunes, commentary and the odd animal noise!
I had such a good ride and it feels like forever since I last rode dirt since, everything has been flooded out down this way. I managed to get loose and flip the first set, which was pretty gnarly as the lip is really mellow. Also managed to bust out some new tricks like 360 Whip to Table and 360 1-Foot Euro plus the usual foam ferret tricks that need to be done!
After a bit of rain and some darn tasty KFC we headed back to Brett's. I was too stuffed so I took the pads off and put myself on camera duties and I managed to shoot a little video of my mates Hendo and Mini. It's nothing too flash - just a bit of fun - and I also got some sweet photos as the sun was setting!
Andrew "Mini" Ahumada has been killing it lately. Peep the style on his no-handed Fronty.
Afterwards we had a BBQ and plenty of beers and even busted out the guitars and had some pretty rad singalongs, then descended into another crazy, crazy night. Thanks Brett and all you guys who came out and made the day such an amazing time.. Look out for Brett's 21st; I've heard people are already planning it and I can't wait... BOOM
Seeing as the Xsport Games that was supposed to be held this weekend was such a massive failure the Pilgrim BMX team is heading off on a road trip. Myself, Mini, Hendo and Scottish John are off to Canberra first, then up to Sydney to meet up with Dane, Cooper and Jed. Shit is going to get wild for sure!
