We are extremely proud to announce, in response to our rapid overseas growth that Unit has appointed our first U.S.A Sales Director, in Tony Dandrea.

You can read the official press release below, but basically, Tony is a walking encyclopedia in the action sports industry, and to be involved with someone of his experience and respect is going to be a massive boost for Unit in the United States and around the world.

Tony has over 10 years experience behind him, working for companies such as Von Zipper and FMF Apparel, and says “Everything that Unit does, from the threads to the outside-the-lines marketing, will be a fresh breath of air to the two-wheeled action sports category. I will be on a mission to bring the Unit story from Australia, across the pond to the US action sports consumer and to the retailer alike.”

Welcome to the team Tony, and we can't wait to see things blow up in the coming months / years overseas.

Unit Clothing is proud to announce the appointment of Tony Dandrea as its USA Sales Director.

Dandrea brings with him more than ten years sales and marketing experience in the action sports clothing industry.

Having worked with brands such as Von Zipper, FMF Apparel and Sector 9, Dandrea will be an asset to Unit’s expanding USA division.

“I am stoked to the full to be on the Unit team,” says Dandrea.

“The Unit story and its founders, Paul and Ian, are true to the roots of Moto and BMX.

“I will be on a mission to bring the Unit story from Australia, across the pond to the US action sports consumer and to the retailer alike.”

Unit Founder and Director Paul Everest says Unit’s long term objective has always been success in the USA and this role was crucial to achieving that goal.

“We are confident we have made a great decision in hiring Tony,” says Everest.

“His drive and expertise in two-wheeled action sports is rare and will be invaluable to Unit as we continue to expand in the amazing USA market.

“There’s always been a great energy between Americans and Aussies and we look forward to employing more Americans.

2010 Australian National Downhill Champion Chris Kovarik has headed overseas to compete in this years World Cup, but before he left, Unit Clothing caught up to watch him shred the famous Mt. Tamborine downhill track.

Chris races for Team Chain Reaction Cycles, is considered a legend in the Australian MTB scene and has been racing pro since 1998. A long list of championships and good results accompany Chris, and it seems 2010 may be his best year yet.
