EXPN has released a sketch of how the iconic Los Angeles Coliseum is going to be transformed into an action-sports mecca from July 29-August 1 when the Summer X Games 16 explodes.
Instead of using the Home Depot Centre for the moto disciplines, EXPN is relocating the freestyle, supercross and skate/BMX big-air comps to the Coliseum, and by looking at the sketch there're some pretty crazy features going on. For the first time ever the supercross track will have a downhill start into a hairy-looking S-bend, before ripping through a gnarly rhythm section on the freestyle course, then goes utilises the Big Air Quarterpipe as a tunnel! The FMX course features a five ramps, a multitude of dirt lines, hips and transfers, a wall-ride, and, unusually, a rainbow rail!
