Unit team riders Jaie Toohey, Dane Searls and David Girsch will all be on site competing in the Backbone BMX Uprising contest, and will also be available at some specially organised signings throughout the weekend. Also in Sydney, the 2nd last round of Super X will be going off, and Unit rider Tye Simmonds is well and truly in the mix, fighting for a podium spot in the Opens Class. If you can't make it there you should be able to watch it all live on Fox Sports Saturday evening. WWW.SUPERX.COM.AU
In a big blunder of planning, the final round of the Crusty Demons T4D shows also hits Sydney on Saturday night, and it looks to be a crazy big show! Unit team riders Matt Schubring, Kain Saul and Beau Bamburg are all throwing it down for the fans, and will be joined by Robbie Maddison who has confirmed he will be doing the world first roof drop inside the Sydney venue! Maddo still has an injured wrist, and he will really be doing all of this for the fans. We wish Maddo the best with his crazy stunts, and if you want to get along to see it live, head to WWW.CRUSTY.COM
Finally, not forgetting about our New Zealand counterparts, Unit BMX rider Jed Mildon is putting on some crazy big BMX jump contests on the main street of Taupo! It all kicks off at 2.30pm Friday afternoon, and finishes with the mega jump contest at 4pm Saturday. If you are lucky enough to be anywhere close to Taupo NZ, get your ass there!
Unit's US BMXer Nate Berkheimer has just returned from a week-long family holiday aboard a cruise ship to Cabo, Mazatlan and Puerta Vallarta. Check out this classic highlights video Nate knocked up upon his return for a bit of an insight into his family life, and what he gets up to once the contest season is over. And Nate: next time you better invite us along, buddy! hahaha
Hey guys,
It's been a while since my last update, but I have had a pretty busy last couple of weeks. It started at the beginning of november, Brad Hage, Ben Soule and myself jumped on a couple of big birds and flew over to Dili, East Timor. I've been over to Dili plenty of times before, but it the first trip for the other boys and I was pretty excited as we were getting out of Dili this time and doing a bit of freeriding in the mountains along the coast.
It was the beginning of the wet season over there, which meant it was rediculously hot during the day, then it would rain in the afternoon. This was good for the mx guys over there, but not so good for us when we were trying to build jumps out in the mountains. We percerviered though, and managed to build one sweet jump in a quarry out of town and found a few smaller fun hits while doing some incredible trail riding.

We drove five hours down the coast to another town to do a demo at their soccer stadium, and on the way we saw some terrain which has to be some of the best natural riding I have ever seen. We didn't have time this trip, but I'm already itching to get back over there and hit it up.
The actual motocross event in Dili was a blast, the crowd was huge, weather stayed good and we all had a great time.
After coming home for two days it was time to head to Bali to ride a comp Steve Sommerfeld was putting together over there. My fiance Casey came with me which was good, although I hardly saw her, the shopping there was too much for her to resist!
We got to do a ride through town on some KLX140's with a police escort, those things are awesome for key bangers! We tried to wreck them but they didn't miss a beat, I highly reccommend those lil buggers. The event had a few dramas, mainly due to bikes for most of the FMX guys being a bit how-ya-goin. All the guys did the best with what they had, and the crowd still seemed to really get into it.
Kiwi bro Mitch McHardy got the win, doing one of the scariest flips i've ever seen. I still don't know how he pulled it around... Gotta give him credit though as he wasn't feeling it all day but he still got the job done. I came in second place, and USA rider Greg Schaff ended up in third. Fingers crossed they hold the event again next year, all it needs are a few little things sorted and it has the potential to be a killer event.
The highlight of the trip was Jason Rosyski, on his first time overseas, getting lost the first night we got there and coming home at 9 the next morning after sleeping in a KFC! Awesome effort.
That's it from me, I'm just taking it easy for a couple of weeks now and getting back into a routine at home.
Cheers
Joe

Very soon a lot of Unit's motocross team athletes will be easier to spot than Michael Jordan in a crowd of midgets, thanks to a new scheme where we will provide our riders with custom-painted Unit helmets.
Helmet painter extraordinaire Mark Brown from Brown's Grafix / Brownie's Electroland is the maestro behind these stylish, attention-grabbing masterpieces, and we want to put a big shout-out to the bloke for offering his services.
Keep your eyes peeled at the track and compound soon, where you'll be able to spot your favourite riders sporting these fresh new lids, complete with a personalised name logo on the rear (see bottom pic).

Does this video screen shot really need an explanation? Dane blasts a massive superman for the camera while filming for Giants Of Dirt: Part 2.
We have just uploaded a gallery of B-Roll photos from the first day of filming, which you can check out HERE.
Stay tuned...
Crusty Demons Thirst 4 Destruction Tour, Brisbane, November 13.
Check out this highlight clip which covers Jacko's quest to land the infamous front flip, Kain Saul's Harley-Davidson backflip, Robbie Maddison's return from injury, Benny Fiese's massive double flip crash plus a host of international and Aussie stars and entertainers.
Schuie stepped up this week in the 'Best Whip' section, taking down fellow Unit team mate Beau Bamburg, who hasn't lost a whip comp on this tour yet!
Sydney will host the final Crusty Demons live show for 2010 on November 27, and it sounds like Maddo will be ready to attempt the roof drop, which he developed just for this tour.

Photo: Schuie hits up one of the multiple dirt jumps, as fellow Crusty Demons rider Steve Mini watches on. All photos by Raine Turnbull for Unit.
Schuie has been putting in the hard yards lately, riding countless shows, digging and building the 'Giants Of Dirt' BMX jumps, and upgrading his personal riding compound at Boonah! It all came to life today, as a swag of the world's best FMX and MX riders converged for an epic film shoot for the next Crusty Demons film, as well as Schuie's personal TV feature which will be airing on Fuel TV early next year.
Schuie was joined by X Games Gold Medallist Josh Hansen, Beau Bamburg, Steve Mini, Kain Saul, Billy Mackenzie, Todd Waters, Robbie Marshall and more, who all went about carving up Schuie's fresh course.

Photo: The weather forecast didn't look good, but the day turned out great except for a little bit of afternoon wind.
Of all the amazing stuff that went down throughout the day, apparently everyone's highlight was the crazy chopper pilot who was on site helping with the filming. The Gold Coast pilot had told us he was prepared to dig worms out of the ground with the chopper if we wanted, and as soon as we took off to start filming, his words begun to come to life! Within a 45 minute session, we tore the top of one of Schuies pine trees, blew Crusty creator Jon Freeman off the dirt landing he was filming from, and scraped the tail rotor across some of Dane's BMX jumps while chasing the FMX guys around the yard. You will be able to see som of the amazing footage in a soon to be released Unit / Crusty web video, as well as a full section in the next Crusty Demons film. A more indepth feature will also be included in Schuie's personal TV feature which will be airing on Fuel TV early next year.

Photo: The chopper pilot checks for damage after a slight run in with one of Schuie's pine trees! Luckily everything was OK.

The latest episode of Rush went to air yesterday and it is already available online for you all to see! We have been doing some work with Rush lately, and this episode see's Unit riders David Girsch, Matt Schubring and Broc Tickle all score full profiles.
Make sure you check it out through the link above, and tune into ABC3 on the weekends for the newest episodes.

Photo: Hundreds turned out for the opening of the brand new Unit Concept Store on the Sunshine Coast over the weekend, to check out the store and meet some of the Unit team athletes and infamous Unit babes. FULL GALLERY HERE.
Crusty Demons riders Kain Saul, Matt Schubring, Beau Bamburg and Seth Enslow all took time out of practice for Saturday nights Brisbane show to come and meet fans at the store opening, and once Seth got done flinging some fallen tables, everything went great. Loads of free stuff was given away courtesy of the Unit wheel of misfortune, and everybody got a chance to get some photos with the Unit babes and check out the new shop, the only one of it's kind in the world.
We are planning a stack more concept stores in the future, so stay tuned for one in your city soon, but if your lucky enough to be passing through the Sunshine Coast, make sure you drop and say hello. The store is located next to the cinemas in Sunshine Plaza, Maroochydore.
A special thanks must go out to all the Unit riders, babes, staff and fans who showed up on Saturday for a good time.

As you may have heard, Dane Searls is back on the Gold Coast right now putting the finishing touches on the Giants Of Dirt, getting them ready for another epic film shoot!!
After a massive crash on his first attempt on the 50 foot set, Dane is back for more, and has made some small tweaks to the set-up, with the hope of making it all the way through the course, which as far as anyone knows is the world's biggest line of BMX jumps!

Matt 'Schuie' Schubring has been putting in a mammoth effort to help the jumps be ready for Wednesday's shoot, digging, shaping, welding and just generally putting in the hours. The jumps are on his property, and he has taken the task personally, so we have to say a massive thanks to Schuie!
Dane's good friend Junior has also made the trip up from Sydney to help on the shovels, and offer Dane some company throughout the countless hours of digging.

Schuie will be holding a massive Crusty Demons film shoot at his property after the Brisbane show this Saturday night, and than as soon as the dust has settled, Dane will be up to try and conquer the giants once again. Stay tuned for news as soon as it happens, as well as some of the most incredible BMX footage ever produced!

Ryan Guettler put together this sweet video of Jaie Toohey on his last couple days in Greenville. So flowy and so high! Make sure you check it, not many people in the world have style like this...

Cam Pianta makes the most of a rare fine spring day.
Hey guys what's up!
The Benalla Jam a few weeks ago got washed out, so we did what any group of BMXers do when it's raining and they can't ride... pub crawl haha!
Anyways, last weekend my mate Brett Smith turned 20. Every year he has a jam at his place and this year he went to town with brand new jumps and a huge new roll-in. I got there a little later, but I was lucky enough to turn up when everyone was padding up so I quickly got changed and got straight into riding. FCAS were in attendance providing tunes, commentary and the odd animal noise!
I had such a good ride and it feels like forever since I last rode dirt since, everything has been flooded out down this way. I managed to get loose and flip the first set, which was pretty gnarly as the lip is really mellow. Also managed to bust out some new tricks like 360 Whip to Table and 360 1-Foot Euro plus the usual foam ferret tricks that need to be done!
After a bit of rain and some darn tasty KFC we headed back to Brett's. I was too stuffed so I took the pads off and put myself on camera duties and I managed to shoot a little video of my mates Hendo and Mini. It's nothing too flash - just a bit of fun - and I also got some sweet photos as the sun was setting!

Andrew "Mini" Ahumada has been killing it lately. Peep the style on his no-handed Fronty.
Afterwards we had a BBQ and plenty of beers and even busted out the guitars and had some pretty rad singalongs, then descended into another crazy, crazy night. Thanks Brett and all you guys who came out and made the day such an amazing time.. Look out for Brett's 21st; I've heard people are already planning it and I can't wait... BOOM
Seeing as the Xsport Games that was supposed to be held this weekend was such a massive failure the Pilgrim BMX team is heading off on a road trip. Myself, Mini, Hendo and Scottish John are off to Canberra first, then up to Sydney to meet up with Dane, Cooper and Jed. Shit is going to get wild for sure!
Seeya all round, now go ride.

Make sure you check it out, and if you haven't already got tickets to one of the final shows in Brisbane or Sydney, make sure you grab them quick... www.crusty.com
By the way, is Beau ripping out 360's in this video?? Sure looks like it!

Cam White has his very own 'Firsthand' episode premiering on Australian TV this Monday at 7.30pm. The popular series takes action sports fans behind the scenes of the industry, and gives people a look at what it is like to be a pro athlete.
Cam's episode turns the 'best job in the world' scenario on it's head though, as the cameras follow Cam through the biggest injury of his career.
If you live in the USA, then you are lucky enough to be able to view the show online HERE, otherwise just tune into Fuel TV next week.
In the last episode Mat Rebeaud takes us along to the Red Bull Alpen Brevet 2010 in Switzerland. Riding the 132km up and down the mountains on a scooter. But no worries besides this fun ride, Mat takes as along

A handful of the Crusty Demons riders will be on hand as well to party the night away, so make sure you don't miss out!
