In this day and age we enjoy so many amazing things thanks to technology, live sports from all around the world, GPS streetmaps, ineternet dating (for some of you), and list goes on and on and on.... But for some retarded reason, if you live in Australia and want to watch the worlds premier Supercross series, you can either wait nearly a week to watch in replayed on Pay TV, or you can follow Twitter and Live Scoring! That's right, not a live webcast, live scoring! So you don't actually get to watch anything, just read the positions... Hahahaha what a great job the organisers are doing.
Anyway, enough whinging from me. This weeks round went to Anaheim for the 3rd time this year, and is the last round before the series heads across to the East Coast. Many of the rounds this year have been plagued by bad weather, and that track has had to be rescued many times with only hours before the gate was scheduled to drop! At A3 we had a welcome change, with the sun shining in the track in great condition.
With the exclusion of the 2 big dogs, Reed and Stewart, the series has been opened wide up, and while Ryan Dungey had an ideal start to the year, he has been pulled backed in by Hill, who is now equal in points, and to make things even more interesting, Villopoto is sitting only 3 points behind.
As I said earlier, we didn't really get to watch the races live this week, but here is the final positions in the Opens...
1. RV, 2. Hill, 3. Windham, 4. Dungey, 5. Millsaps, 6. Brayton, 7. Chisholm, 8. Byrne, 9. Reardon, 10. Wey, 11. Tedesco, 12. Blose, 13. Langston, 14. Browne, 15. Izoird, 16. Coulon, 17. Keeney, 18. Peick, 19. JT$, 20. Boni
Unit Athlete Dan Reardon had another good showing, coming home with a 9th overall. Reardon is still only just back from injury, and if can continue these results, and improving his race fitness, we should definitely see him around the podium in the remaining rounds.
