Schuie has kicked off his 2010 season, with the opening night of the new and improved Crusty Live Tour. Schuie has been up to alot in his off season, including creating his own team SP Tools KTM.
Schuie only just finished putting his new bike together the other day, and we think the beast looks awesome!
With alot of things on the drawing board for Schuie at the moment, he is going to be someone to watch in 2010, and not just on the bike!
While on the topic of new rides, Caroline Buchanan just shot through this pic of her flash new Commencal 4X bike. Caroline is heading back to Europe in a week for a month of racing including a BMX and Mountain Bike World Cup.
Being a professional BMX and MTB rider at the same time definitely takes it toll on an athlete, but there is definitely some good perks to the job as well, including travelling to twice as many amazing places... This trip Caroline will be checking out Italy, Denmark, Slovenia and Germany.
Good luck!

Recently, we saw some of the wildest weather in South East Queensland for many many years, the resulting rain and floods basically destroyed the one good set of trails on the Coast. Everyone was gutted, as the trails were running so plush and everyone was killing it. Since then, people have been working on some new spots, but in the meantime, we headed 4 hours north with team riders Richo and Cooper to session and film at the famous Maryborough trails. So many amazing lines and even some cool ghetto ramps grace the bushland in the secret Maryborough spot, and everyone we headed up with had big expectations. Unfortunately on arrival, it became apparent the rain and weather had damaged some of the main Maryborough lines as well, but after a bit of digging and preperations, the guys could at least session the small line, which was super fun and a cool spot to film.
The day was going good, until the focus moved onto the ghetto ramps. Cooper was eyeing off a cool gap out of one of the quarters, over the back rail, and landing on a small dirt bank. It was a pretty crazy gap, and on his first attempt, Cooper seemed to have it sweet. However, he came in a little sketchy and landed with his knee smashing the stem. At first we all thought he got it out of it sweet, but Cooper realised fast that something was wrong.
After a short wait for the ambo, Cooper got straight into the green stick and had a great afternoon from then on... hahaha
X-Rays showed that his knee cap was fractured, and may require surgery. Cooper now has an anxious 10 day wait, before heading back to the hospital for a final decision on treatment. Best of luck mate, we hope you heal up quick.
Even though the day was cut short, we still got some cool clips done, and will probably drop a chill edit from the day online soon, so stay tuned for that!
