Levi here... Well, not sure where to start with this one, I guess I'll just get straight to the point and tell you how disappointed I was with the rain in Mexico haha.

It was all going pretty well before the rain. I was feeling good all through practice, my KTM 250sx was running really good and the course was pretty simple.

Qualifying didn't go as well, I didn't realize that they were judging show in qualifying. Since it is judged off crowed reaction and there wasn't any one out there apart form the judges I didn't really do anything apart from focus on the run I had to do. I ended up loosing some points from that and qualified 7th. Oh well i guess next time ill pay more attention haha

Then on the night it started raining lightly as the show started but it wasn't enough to bother us at first. The bottom six riders had to go out for one run to see who the final two would make it into the competition. After the head to head rounds started the rain settled in and I was sitting in the tunnel with Nate for about 15 minutes waiting to go out. I'm not really one to go ride in the rain but i was ready to at least try. So it was a long 15 minutes waiting until they called it off because of the rain.

It was still a really fun event and I cant wait to go back next year, just hope it doesn't rain again. Also congrats to Andre on his first win!

So now its back to practicing and getting ready for Egypt, cant wait to see what its like there, If you want to follow what I'm up to until then check out www.levisherwood.com

Rhys WIllemse Injured

Saturday 24 April 2010

The Unit team hasn't been having the best luck as of late, first Nick Cooper busted up his knee cap and is going to need at least 6 weeks off the bike with possible surgery, than Cam White bailed from height and has cast shadows over his whole season, and now Rhys WIllemse slid out on a corner while training and got cleaned up by his team mate! Resulting in 2 broken bones in his wrist.

Rhys is shattered, as he will miss the first world cup race in Maribor, where he finished 13th last year.

On a good note though, after surgery, it seems that he may only be off the bike for 4 weeks. This is a huge relief and will mean Rhys can have a chance to ride some of the World Cups.

Get better soon mate, and good luck!
