As you all probably know, Dane Searls recently won the Big In Bavaria contest over in Germany. There hasn't been to many photos or press from the event, but we finally came across this cool video. Highlights include Dane winning the contest, all the riders partying it up in a limo around Munich, and of course the sweet jumps. Check it out...

This past weekend saw the latest Downhill World Cup go down in Switzerland, and despite having some of the most ruthless conditions this year, Unit athletes Chris Kovarik and Claire Buchar scored some great results. Claire with a 7th and Chris a 9th. Check out Chris' blog from the event below...
This weekend I was in Switzerland/Champery for the 4th round of the downhill mtb World Cup, the weekend was going to be a tough one for everyone as we all know the track is the steepest, gnarliest on the circuit and plus it usually thunderstorms in the afternoon just to make it worse.
My practice started off well on thursday as the track was dry and it was easy to get a feel of the bike, on a track like this you barely have to take a pedal stroke because its so gravity fed so it was cool rolling the whole track and then hitting the high speed doubles at the finish.
Friday was qualifying and sure enough the rain came down and it was on and off all day just to keep the track slippery as hell. Practice went well, i was loving the muddy conditions, i got my lines down and i was running full spike tyres with low pressures to get as much grip as i could in the thick mud. During my run i hit a turn only to get halfway around it to find it had been blown out so my front wheel slid down off the edge and i went over the bars, i crawled back up and got on my bike with a hand full of mud and managed to qualify 27th.
Saturday race day i was pumped and ready to conquer the beast of a mountain, that had a number of riders helicoptered off the track with broken bones, cuts and concussions. The track was still a mudfest as it had rained all night and at one stage during practice it was like riding a river down the track. On my second practice run that morning i hit one of the big doubles at the bottom of the course, i slid up the take-off and was whipped out but landed too sideways and got high sided off the bike at high speed, i was a train wreck wrapped in course tape and mud. I got to the pits to discover i had a 2 inch gash in my shin to the bone and a corked calf muscle, i got it cleaned up by the medics, went back to the pits and geared up for the final.

I got to the top of the mountain a little earlier to give my leg a good warm up on the wind trainer so it wasnt so stiff before my run. All was good i took off out of the start gate and rode pretty solid start to finish not stalling and without many mistakes or coming off the bike. In the end i finished 9th on the day and was pumped to finally get a top 10 which is my first this year, i'm hoping my leg heals up before next weeks world cup race in Italy / Val Di Dol which is another crazy track!
My team also won team of the day, making the most points out of all the riders so we all got to stand on the podium and spray a little champagne!
Later!
We took a camera along to the final round of the MX Nationals at Coolum and snapped a few sweet shots, even though the weather was absolutely dismal. Enjoy! All pics by Simon Makker

Cool Air Kawasaki's Billy MacKenzie (#211), Todd Waters (#47) and 2010 Pro Open champ Jay Marmont (#1) fight for holeshot honours during one of the four back-to-back 15-minute motos.

Unit rider and local Sunny Coast hero Ford Dale gets in some autograph practice just before he went out and dominated the Pro Lites class.

The step-down double after the straight-away is one big mutha! Tye Simmonds (#42) overtakes a rival by heading to the stratosphere.

The final round of the national motocross always brings industry icons and legends out of the woodwork. V8 Supercars god Craig Lowndes catches up with mutli-time Australian enduro hardman Brad "Wonka" Williscroft after the Vets moto.

The Under-19 class has gone from a support act to a high-profile series in just a few short years. Check the media scrum around the podium after Josh Cachia wrapped up the title at Coolum.

Jay Marmont was at his smooth, consistent best on his way to winning his third Pro Open title in three years.

Scotland's Cool Air Kawasaki rider Billy MacKenzie ponders what could have been after losing the title fight to Marmont by just 13 points. Billy did his best by winning the round Overall, but it wasn't quite enough.

The rapid-fire 15-minute motos meant for some super-tight racing in the Pro Open class.

CDR Rockstar Yamaha's Cheyne Boyd always has time for the fans.

Dane Searls skipped the Dew Tour this year and headed over to Germany for the big jump contest 'Big In Bavaria'. With the lure of big jumps and big prize money, Dane couldn't refuse the offer, and ended up coming home with first place, $12,000 cash and a 30L keg of Bavarian beer!
Dane is now back in Sydney with a week off, before tripping make up to the Gold Coast, where he will be putting the final touches on his personal mega jumps. We can't wait to see him ride those things!

We've received some bittersweet news over the past 24 hours. The sad news was our newly signed Pro Lites privateer, Broc Tickle, crashed during practice at the Washougal round of the Lucas Oils AMA Motocross Championship and has reportedly broken his collarbone.
Tickle was sitting in fifth place in the championship at the time, and was the highest-placed Yamaha racer. As a result of his crash, Tickle had to pull out of the X Games Super X competition that starts in just a couple days' time.
However, we just got off the phone with MotoConcepts Yamaha rider Dan Reardon, who informed us that he was entering the high-profile event and throw his hat in the ring for a shot at the Super X gold medal.
Reardon will ride a YZ450F with his trademark #122 numberplate, so make sure you cheer our boy on! The Super X finals will be aired live on ESPN from 9am AEST on Friday (or 4pm Thursday local time).

PHOTO: Unit rider Ford Dale got the overall on the final day in Coolum, but it was only enough to push into 3rd for the series. Fullnoise.com
There is so much to talk about at Coolum, so for a full wrap-up go check out the official website of the Australian Rockstar MX Nationals.
Unit MX team riders had an amazing showing over the weekend in Coolum, but with guys like Jay Marmont in the Opens and PJ Larsen in the Lites with such big point leads, there was little chance they would be able to claim top honours for the series.
In the Opens, all eyes were on Marmont, who was fighting to keep his title from last year, but Unit Kawasaki rider Billy Mackenzie smoked the field, and came home with 2 overall wins from 2 days. Billy was on fire, and nobody seemed to have his speed around the sandy Coolum track. Unfortunately though a few bad rounds throughout the year thanks to sickness and injury left Billy just short on points, and although making up a large margin, he just didn't have enough to overtake Jay, who rode to his very consistent ways all weekend. Billy still came home with a very solid 2nd overall in the 2010 series, and no doubt some very good confidence leading into Super X.
In the Lites, Unit rider Ford Dale seems to have finally found the form and consistency he has been looking for over the past few years. Ford has always been one of the fastest guys in Australia, but bad luck and inconsistency has stopped him really being a big threat. Coolum is Ford's home track and it was his chance to make up some ground on the class. Scoring a number of holeshots and race wins, he came away with a 2nd and 1st overall from 2 days. This was enough to push Ford from 5th to 3rd in the series.
In the U19's Luke Arbon sustained a broken wrist last weekend, so he was forced to sit out the Coolum races. His Unit Kawasaki team mate Cody Mackie came into Coolum in good form, and also sitting comfortably in the points race for a good result in the series, but a massive cart wheel on day 1 sent him to the hospital with a broken collarbone. However, Mackie and Arbon are both very positive moving firward towards Super X, and both say they have plenty of time to heal up and get back to full strength.
Madrid X-Fighters went off on Friday, the riding was at it's best and we even got to see some brand new tricks in competition.
Aussies Jackson Strong, Clinton Moore, Robbie Maddison and Cam Sinclair were all on hand, as well as Kiwi Levi Sherwood, but come the top 8, and only Maddo and Levi were left with a chance of the win. It is fair to say Clinton, Jacko and Cam all had their sights set on X Games the following weekend, and held alot back.
Levi was set against Maddo in the first quarter final, and on his first run in to the ramps his bike bogged down, causing him to dead sailor over the 110 footer. He was lucky to even make it over the 110 foot jump safely, but that 1 jump basically cost Levi any chance of backing up his win from Russia. However, nothing should be taken away from Maddo who was absolutely on fire, riding at his best and throwing 3 perfect 'Volts', A trick only done once in a contest before Madrid.
Maddo went onto take down series leader Andre Villa in the semi-final, and then come face to face with former X-Fighters champion and Unit team rider Mat Rebeaud. It seems like Mat is back to his best after sustaining some big injuries at the start of the year. The 2 battled it out, both performing near flawless runs, but it was the 'volt' of Maddo that gave him the edge over his Swiss oponent. Maddo walked out on top of the field, and scoring some much needed points to help catch series leader Andre Villa coming into the final rounds.
Check out more stories and updates from the event below...
So much went down over the weekend, it was hard to follow everything, but we will try and bring you some details of everything today...
First off the Dew Tour kicked off this weekend in Chicago with the opening round for BMX. Bad weather hampered the proceedings, and events were shuffled around and pushed back. By the end of the weekend, the weather cleared enough, and we saw the young Brett Banasiewicz take the win in the dirt contest.
Unit riders David Girsch, Jaie Toohey and Nate Berkheimer all had a good showing in the Open Qualifiers, and will now be invited along for the rest of the tour. Cam White was already on board, unforuntately though NZ shredder Jed Mildon missed out. In the finals though, it was Nate and Jaie who really pulled it together, Jaie scoring an awesome 6th, and Nate 7th. Those guys are riding their best right now and we will see alot more out of them in coming rounds. Young David Girsch has proven he has the skill to be mixing it with the best, however some bad luck prevented him from performing at his full potential. Cam White has been riding really good considering he has a torn ACL, but may struggle through the season, taking it easy until he gets surgery at the end of the year.
I can't wait to catch up with all the guys at the end of August, when Unit take a trip around te states to film, party and catch up with all the guys.
Check out all the links below for full coverage from the tour, including the park and vert events...

We are so pumped for this weekend, and the first reason why is Red Bull X-Fighters LIVE tomorrow morning on Fuel TV! Unit rider Levi Sherwood won the last round, and has been on a rampage coming into X-Games, so Madrid is going to be very very interesting. All of the riders are on location now, practicing and adjusting the crazy heat that is reportedly up around the 40 degree mark!
FREERIDER MX have a great story from Spain, thanks to X-Fighters judge and our good buddy Goba, while ESPN.COM/ACTION also have a pre-event wrap. Check them both out now for more details...
We are excited to announce that USA FMX legend Beau Bamburg is the newest member of the Unit FMX Team! We will be bringing you an official press release in the coming days, but for now, enjoy this mini clip featuing Beau throwing some of the biggest whips on earth.
You can see Beau take on the best next weekend at X-Games where he has finally been given a place in the 'Best Whip' contest. Good luck mate!
It's no secret the Unit rider Matt "Schuie" Schubring has arguably the best FMX compound and dirt jumps in Australia, but we've never really seen what it feelis like to hit the big suckers until now.
Schuie and his best mate Steve Sommerfeld have been mucking around with SportsCamera helmet cams and the results have had us stuffing our eyeballs back into our sockets.
After seeing this footage we're itching to throw the Unit YZ250F into the back of the Hiace and head out for a spin. Peep the vid and you'll see what we mean.
Oh, and keep your eyes peeled, as you'll catch a couple of brief glimpses of how Dane Searls gigantic BMX dirt jumps are shaping up.
We have just been notified that there is going to be a live webcast available for this weekends 'Big In Bavaria' contest/ Unit athlete Dane Searls has just arrived in Germany for the big show, opting not to compete at the Dew Tour, for the chance to ride and compete on some much bigger jumps.
The details of the actual event time have been a little uncertain, but at this stage it looks like the MTB final will be streamed live online at 2am Sunday morning, and the BMX final live at 10.30pm Sunday night.
Below is the current riders list for both MTB and BMX. These guys will be met by 10 more riders who qualify through Friday's 'Go Big Or Go Home' contest...
-Dane Searls (AUS)
-Alejandro Caro (COL)
-Andreu Lacondeguy (ESP)

Red Bull caught up with Levi and Mat while they prepared for the next round of X-Fighters at Mat's Switzerland home. This is a rad clip and you will get to learn a little more about what these 2 guys are like...

ESPN Action Sports contributor Mark Noble recently caught up with our good friend Scottish John to talk about all things Pilgrim. We are working closely with Pilgrim on all things BMX, and have even helped create the signature Pilgrim Unit frame. Find out more about Pilgrims heritage below...
In our current series of looking into the new bike companies that are cropping up this year, I though we should catch up with a guy widely known on the scene as Scottish John Buultjens. Without a shred of doubt, John's a proud Scot and his homeland has a lot going for it, but even so, it takes a stubborn man to endure the seemingly endless dark wet days. Of course, if it all gets too much, you could emigrate, which is just what John opted for. After moving to Australia, John began a new era in the bicycle business, initially starting out working in retail, working his way through BMX distribution, and more recently launching the Pilgrim Bike brand. Australia can credit itself with having one of the strongest BMX scenes on our planet, and Pilgrim looks set to succeed amongst the growth. From the get-go, Pilgrim looks like it means business from its base just outside Melbourne. They already boast an impressive range of 2011 complete bikes and frames, soft goods, and a team full of heavy hitters featuring the likes of Steve McCann, Adam Aloise, Dane Searls, Jaie Toohey. So with this in mind, let's dive into the exclusive interview with new company owner Scottish John and discover what else makes this pilgrim tick.
Unit caught up with Serco Yamaha racer Ford Dale practicing at his Sunshine Coast MX track. Ford is one of Australia's fastest, but a string of bad luck and injuries has stopped him from reaching his full potential.
2010 has seen Ford score some great results, and show he has what it takes to mix it with the best. Coming in strong to the 2010 Super X season, he will be looking to make a stand and put in a fast and consistent effort.

FMX World caught up with Levi in Moscow to ask 10 questions submitted by the fans. Some pretty interesting ones in there, and as usual Levi is his very chilled self. We can't wait for this weekend, where hopefully Levi can back up his Moscow win and get closer to winning the series. Good luck mate...
Unit athlete Nick Franklin has been travelling the world for a few years now, riding some amazing locations for the Red Bull X-Fighters Exhibition Tour.
The latest stop was Peru, where Nick got to ride around a bunch of amazing spots and test out the local culture. Check it out.

Dew Tour kicks off next weekend in Chicago, with the opening round being a BMX only event. Unit athletes Cam White, Jaie Toohey and David Girsch are all on the line up and all seem in good health. The course looks pretty different then previous set-ups but all the riders are questioning the size, and lack of normal dirt doubles. Either way we should see some great riding, and hopefully some great results for the Unit riders. You will be able to watch most of the events on Fuel TV, or by following the main BMX websites online.
While those guys are battling it out in Chicago, Dane Searls will be throwing down everything he has in Germany for the 'Big In Bavaria' contest, which is meant to be one of the premier dirt jump contests in the world with a pretty massive prize pool.

The set-up looks good, and with Dane's big jump experience, he will have to be one of the favourites. You can check out more info on the event now over at FAT BMX.

Last weekend left us all lost and confused, as racing in the USA and Australia took a break. Well not to worry, you will all get a double dose this time round as the Aus MX Nats hit Moree, and the USA Nationals take over Millville.
On the Australian scene, Unit riders Tye Simmonds, Billy Mackenzie, Cody Mackie, Ford Dale, Luke Arbon and Luke George are all on the charge and with only a matter of weeks left to win valuable series points, the gloves will be off when the gates drop Sunday morning. You can follow the Australian series over at the Fullnoise / MX Nationals Live Feed from Sunday morning.
Overseas, we are just past the halfway point of the Outdoors, and you can check out extensive highlights and race re-caps over at the Alli Sports MX website.
Unit athletes Broc Tickle, Ryan Sipes and Kyle Chisholm have all been strong contenders this season, and are all big threats to the podium so keep an eye on those guys. Aussie Dan Reardon has also started to find some good form, so with some luck his results will start reflecting his former speed and talent.
You can usually watch a live webcast HERE for some of the races, or the Racer X Twitter is also full of great updates and results as they happen.

We were lucky enough to catch up with Caroling Buchanan today on the Gold Coast. She is in town for a couple of weeks training hard with the Australian BMX team before heading to worlds in South Africa next week.
Only recently getting over surgery on her sinuses, and having her tonsils removed, Caroline had an unfortunate spill at Luke Madills training track resulting in a broken finger and stitches. This hasn't slowed her down though, and Caroline is confident leading the Australian team towards the 2012 Olympics.
We managed to get some filming done as well as an interview, so stay tuned for a video coming online soon. Caroline is a true inspiration to all young girls, and with her strong enthusiasm and never give up attitude, she is sure to be on top of the BMX world within no time.
Good luck Caroline!
The youngest member of the Unit MX team Adam Cianciarulo recently took on Pro racer Nick Wey in the hilarious 'Are You Smarter Than a Homeschooled 8th Grader' series.
Aside from being an all knowing, incredibly smart contestant for the show, Adam is also one of the fastest junior racers on the planet. Go and google his name and check out some of his crazy videos...
Good luck at the up coming Loretta Lynns Adam!

So after 6 full days of working with machinery and alot of shovel work, Dane Searls and Schuie have got the foundation layed for the new massive dirt jumps. Pretty much Dane is headed off to Germany early next week for the 'Big In Bavaria' contest, and then once home he will be back up on the Gold Coast for a few more days on the shovel, and then with a bit of luck he will be flowing through the biggest BMX dirt jumps in the world.

The set has been locked in with the first jump being a 32ft right hip, followed by a 35ft booter trick jump. From there it gets really scary, with 50 and 60ft dirt hits straight down the hill. Above you can see Searlsy posing in front of the 50ft hit, and below the 60 footer gets finished off.

After nearly a year of planning, it was awesome to see the shape of the set this afternoon, and Searlsy is stoked with the way they are looking. Although a bit nervous, Dane is pumped to get to ride these things and you can't wipe the smile off his face whenever he stands back and looks down the run. Check out the photo below, of the enormous landing for the 3rd jump. That is the runway that leads straight to the 60 foot hit...

From here, Schuie will be helping out with building a big enough drop off to start the run, as well as hire a special bobcat to help compact the landings and get everything smooth. Once Dane comes back up early August, it will just take a few days of shaping and getting the whole set ridable before putting in the first ride. Stay tuned...

EXPN has released a sketch of how the iconic Los Angeles Coliseum is going to be transformed into an action-sports mecca from July 29-August 1 when the Summer X Games 16 explodes.
Instead of using the Home Depot Centre for the moto disciplines, EXPN is relocating the freestyle, supercross and skate/BMX big-air comps to the Coliseum, and by looking at the sketch there're some pretty crazy features going on. For the first time ever the supercross track will have a downhill start into a hairy-looking S-bend, before ripping through a gnarly rhythm section on the freestyle course, then goes utilises the Big Air Quarterpipe as a tunnel! The FMX course features a five ramps, a multitude of dirt lines, hips and transfers, a wall-ride, and, unusually, a rainbow rail!
You can check more info and photos of the stadium concept by clicking here.
Check out the highlights clip of Unit riders Levi Sherwood and Mat Rebeaud dominating the recent Swatch Free4Style Contest in Switzerland... Levi is in great form coming into the X-Fighters and X-Games contests!

The Mega is a lot of things all at once. It is painful, annoying, scary and frustrating. It is fun, a sense of adventure and something every mountain biker should do at least once.
It is the longest mass start downhill race in the world (with a heck of a lot of climbing in between) attracting thousands of riders, spectators and fans alike. On top of all of that, Alpe D’Huez is at altitude and the start is on a glacier, yes, snow. You get the challenge.

What up guys? I'm back in Greenville, North Carolina with everyone getting ready for the season. Greenville is so hot at the moment, you either have to ride real early in the morning or have late arfternoon sessions, but both are fun and good. Right now in Greenville I'm pretty sure we have out numbered the whole Greenville BMX community with Australians! There are so many Aussies here this year it's crazy. I'm stoked to have them all over here and have a good time with everyone.
This is my 3rd year living in Greenville now and there is no way I would have been able to do it if it wasn't for Ryan Guettler and Colin Mackay. Those are the 2 guys I have looked up to for years and for them to look after me is so good. I couldn't ask for anything better.
The last week we have had Colony owner Clint Millar and Australian youngster Alex Hiam in town. Alex is like 14 years old and is doing 3 double whips and every other trick that all the big name riders are doing. I can't wait to seem him in a few years time when he's standing on the top of the podium with a first place medal in his hand. Anyway guys i'll be updateing you all again in the next few weeks after the first stop of the Dew Tour, letting you know how it all went.
Cheers,
Jaie Toohey

ESPN.com/action editor Ryan Leyba recently got hold of Unit's latest recruit Simon Makker, to talk about his new role within the company, and why he ditched his 'dream job' at Freerider MX. It is a really good read, and also includes some exciting new details for the mag...
Heading to newsstands as we speak, none other than Travis Pastrana (who?) graces the latest cover (issue 62) of Australia's Freerider MX magazine, thanks to his multiple month tour in Oz with the rest of his Nitro Circus cohorts. While in Oz for the wildly successful Nitro Circus Live tour, Pastrana proved that he indeed still does know how to ride FMX, even rekindling a bit of the fire he once had for the sport, evidenced by taking on Best Trick, Freestyle, and Speed & Style at X Games 16. And how about his nac flips? I honestly can't say I've seen better...

Hey all,
Well there has been a big change for me in the way of bike sponsor, as of the first of this month I have started riding for Pilgrim BMX www.pilgrimbmx.com
The company is the brain child of my good friend John Buultjens and when he asked me to ride for him it was a real honour and also a great chance to work with someone like him.
As my contract with my previous sponsor had just ended I took John up on the offer and here we are, cause when your mate starts a bike company you know you want to be there.
John explains a little about Pilgrim, "Pilgrim started back in 1992 when we made our first video called Pilgrim BMX, REBELS IN A WORLD FULL OF LAW'S. We as rider’s are some sort of rebels, going out for a street ride trying to find that next secret spot. Having fun on a sweet ledge or crazy rail until the law come up and spoil it for us. We all know this experience all so well. I remember when we made the video my own personal bike was impounded for three months for grinding a ledge. This all happened in Dundee, Scotland. I have always loved the name Pilgrim and decided in 2010 to make this old video into a complete bicycle company."
I will be riding my brand new Pilgrim / Unit frame with a 21" top tube all in black with Colony parts, and it feels great. Thanks also goes out to Clint Millar at Colony BMX.
Also on the team are fellow Unit team riders Nick Cooper, Dane Searls and Jaie Toohey and I'm sure these guys will let everyone know soon.
I would also like to take this chance to thank TripleSix (We The People and Eclat) and all the guys there for a great year, it was definitely awesome to work with you guys and I wish you all the best.
Apart from that i have been riding down Melbourne way. Going to ride dirt again this weekend if the weather stays good, so we should get some good shots and some riding done. Anyways thats all from me...
Go ride.

We just got the awesone news that Unit athletes Levi Sherwood and Mat Rebeaud have taken out the Swatch Free4Style in Switzerland!
Levi has continued his great form after winning the last X-Fighters round in Moscow, and looks to be in career best form heading into X-Games at the end of the month. Mat also has alot to be happy about, only just being back on the bike after a massive injury at the beginning of the year. Read the full story below, courtesy www.fmxworld.com. Here is a quick snapshot for you from the construction of Dane Searls new jumps.
Yes that really is an upramp for a BMX jump in front of Dane, and no that is nowhere near the biggest jump planned. So far the initial 32ft hip has been pretty much finished, along with most of the 2nd 35ft trick jump. From there it is straight downhill towards 2 monster hits....
We will keep the rest of the details to ourselves for now, but if everything goes to plan you should see Dane riding these things soon.

To be in the running for weekly giveaways and special offers, make sure you head over and join the Unit Facebook. You can also get the latest news on all things Unit, and get the opportunity to rate our products!

Schuie recently got hooked up by sportscamera.com.au and now has a swag of cool on board and helmet cameras. Schuie and good mate Steve Sommerfield put the cameras to the test and whipped up this cool little video of a ride session at Schuieville.
Check it out...

This past week has been awesome! We were riding the yard everyday, having big trick sessions on the resi, even in the wind. I have been getting stuck into the gym a lot lately, working real hard on strengthening my legs so they support my knee and help hold it in place.
I've been at the gym 5 days a week doing various stuff for my core strength also. I have noticed the difference on how I feel on my bike, my body feels a lot more stable and a lot stronger which is awesome cause the last thing i want to feel like is that my knee could give out mid trick, then we will be in all sorts of trouble.
Last weekend the 26th June was Michelle's birthday so I surprised her with a week long vacation. We left Vegas on the 27th and headed to Fort Lauderdale Florida, hung out there for the night over looking the ocean. The following morning we boarded our cruise ship and spent the next 5 night/6 days cruising out to the Caribbean. We stopped at the Grand Cayman Island and went snorkelling in the reef, then went for a swim and fed some wild, massive, scary sting rays. The water out there was so blue and amazing. The following day we cruised to Cozumel Mexico and we sat out on the beach relaxing, eating fajitas and getting our chill on. We then spent the next few days cruising back to the USA and flew home to Vegas yesterday. It was such an amazing trip and i had an absolute blast!
Now back in Vegas, the boys were saying it had been crazy stupid windy since i left, so i hadn't missed any sessions, so that was a bonus. Hopefully we get to ride today and celebrate the 4th of july with everyone.
Lavs got back into town after 6 weeks in Prague, so its gonna be awesome to catch up with him and get some sessions happening in the yard.
Next stop is Chicago for the Dew Tour... Looking forward to it.
Cheers,
Cam.

Just a quick update from Day 1 of construction. We just got back from a massive day out at Matt Schubrings Boonah property, where we began digging Dane Searls monster dirt jumps. So far so good, and we are nearly done the first hip and landing from the start drop-in. Schuie himself is surprised by the size of these things, and Dane's visions and dreams are finally coming into reality.
The first day is always the hardest though, and we spent more time planning and arranging things then we did digging, but now that we are over the first hurdle, it should be all go from tomorrow. From the hip it is straight down the hill, every jump bigger then the last. We can't wait to see the finished product!
Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days...
Unit / Kawasaki Racing athlete Billy Mac is back! After a four week break, Billy Mackenzie is at it again this time coming to you from Albury on a very cold Sunday. Billy had to fight off an on-fire Cody Cooper as well as a hungry Tye Simmonds for the top spot this weekend and was able to walk away from the round with a second place overall and he gained even more valuable points over series leader Jay Marmont.
In this weeks video, Billy lets his riding do the talking and we have put together a great ride clip that you will want to watch over and over again.
"In this weeks video I really just wanted everyone to get a good ride clip. You don't see my face much in this video which means that you do get to see a bunch of riding. I have been working really hard over the break and while I didn't take home the win this weekend, I was excited to see that the bar has been lifted over here and guys like Cooper and Simmonds showed this weekend that they are hungry to step it up!"

After such a hectic couple of weeks full of FMX, MX, BMX and MTB contests, it is almost a relief that this weekend we won't be sitting in front of the internet watching countless live events. You never know, we might actually get some time to go outside and ride. But then again, I would be happy to wake up at 2am to watch Levi smash the rest of the FMX world at X-Fightersonce again!
Luckily, we still have the next AMA Motocross outdoors round to look forward, which is going down at Red Bud this Saturday. (Sunday morning Aus time).
Although Ryan Dungey and Pourcel seem to have the classes pretty well sewn up, there is still plenty of great racing going on, and loads of talented guys putting their life on the line to just podium! We are pumped to see Unit Team Motoconcepts riders Kyle Chisholm and ryan Sipes battling in the top 10 every week, and it is only a matter of time before the stars align and we see one of those guys on the podium. Unit's ostrich riding Broc Tickle is also a very strong contender week in, week out, and with a good start has the speed to win. Aussie Dan Reardon is another gun who is finally coming back to good form, after a long long time struggling with some big head injuries sustained at the opening round of the last SX series.
The last surprise, and perhaps disappointment, is current champion Chad Reed, who has been slipping in the results every week. Let's hope he can find form once again, and give Dungey some decent competition.
You can watch the first motos online live at 2.30am Sunday morning (Australia time) over at allisports.com. Let us know how it goes, because there is no way I'll be up this time, after the bender last weekend for X-Fighters.
Aussie BMX rider Dane Searls has landed on the Gold Coast, and isn't going home until the jobs done. We have finally locked in Schuie's crazy Boonah property for Dane's massive trails, and construction is set to begin Monday.
We don't want to let to much info out just yet, but the first 'set-up' jump is looking to be a left hip at around 30 foot, that shoots you straight down the hill into the full line. I'm sure you can imagine what will happen from there.
With a bit of luck we will have some photos for you all next week of the progress! But in the meantime, check out Dane's edit from a little while back where he shredded fellow Unit rider Cam White's back yard. 110 000 views says you won't be dissappointed!
