This past couple of weeks have been real busy. It started by Lavs and I taking a trip out to Woodward East and staying with Anthony Napolitan. It was aweosome to get out there and experience that place. Ever since I was a kid I've wanted to go out there and ride. The trails are a lot of fun and we had heaps of fun sessions. After woodward it was time for the Dew Tour and we headed out to chicago. This was the first stop of the tour, so I was excited to get out there and ride. The course set up was pretty fun, drop in and 2 good size booters followed by a step up, step down, last set and then a wall ride. The only thing that sucks about Chicago is the weather. I'm not a big fan of humidity, plus it was crazy windy. That windy that the tornado sirens were going off throughout the city.. Unfortunately the wind didn't stop, and we had to ride prelims in the craziest gusty weather. It sucked.

For my first run I just wanted to send it, i don't mess up flipwhips too often, but i did that run. I blasted the first set and sent a flipwhip. It was heaps windy but thats not why i stuffed up, i just wasn't mentally focused on exactly what i was doing and crashed. Luckily i didn't get hurt at all. Come time for my second run, I was gonna send it again, but Lavs told me it's not worth it in the conditions, so i toned down my run and did a flip turndown on the first set, as i landed i got smacked in the side of the face with the gnarliest gust of wind, I managed to wheel it through the course and complete my run.

Unfortunately it wasn't enough to make the finals. I'm definately disappointed, but there is always next stop. I'm now back in Vegas, we have a session tonight, so i'm excited to go and knock out about a hundred flipwhips to make sure i dont stuff em up again haha!

2 weeks until Portland stop, so we're in stunt mode. Cheers Cam.
