What up guys?
I just finished up another good few weeks here in the USA. I had had Simon and Allan from Unit come over to Greenville, we hit all the spots in Greenville and got some good riding and allot of filming for my new edit, that should be coming out sometimes soon. But of course on my last trick of the night, I over cleared the box jump backwards, knocked myself and went for little a sleep on the ground. I took few days off riding, then straight back into it. I put my head down and learnt a whole bunch of new tricks.
This past weekend we have been in Salt Lake City for the Dew Tour. Dirt qualifying was Thursday night I wasn’t really stressing it, because I had learnt some new tricks and had been working my ass of back in Greenville riding. But then first run I messed up on a superman flip, 2nd run comes around and just before I dropped in I said to myself “I’m either crashing bad or I’m making finals”. So I dropped in and everything worked, then I hit the last jump with a backflip double whip and landed it. I was so happy and then I sat in 2nd the whole of qualifying until the last few riders and ended up qualifying 4th. But that still meant I was in the finals.
I woke up Saturday morning, the day of finals, and it was so windy and scary. We all have a meeting not to ride and push the contest back, but we couldn’t because it was live TV. So everyone sucked it up and just got out there. So then I drop in for my first run and crash a flip double whip, 2nd run and I crashed the same trick again. Then 3rd run I thought I’d just put a good run together, so I did and ended up 8th. Not that bad for crashing first 2 runs. Now that Salt Lake is over, I’m back home to Greenville to put my head down again for the next 3 weeks and get ready for the last stop in Las Vegas. I’m ranked 8th overall in the Dew Tour dirt standings, so lets see if I can bump my ranking up bit more.
Cheers
