Four Unit riders in X Games 16

Four of Unit’s highest-profile athletes have been invited to the world’s biggest action-sports competition, the Summer X Games in Los Angeles.

Moscow X-Fighters winner Levi Sherwood and former X-Fighters champion Mat Rebeaud have both been accepted to contest the freestyle competition, racer Broc Tickle will hit up the Supercross race, and Brisbane BMX legend Tim Wood has been given the nod to compete in the BMX Vert comp.

On the back of his recent win in Russia, Levi is one of the odds-on favourites to win the prestigious freestyle comp, and carries both momentum and confidence. However, Rebeaud, who is making a comeback from a broken arm, will be driven to put himself back on the FMX map and is always a threat at every event he enters.

Out on the supercross track, Broc Tickle is seeking to put an end to Josh Hansen’s streak and finish on top of the box. The Anaheim 2 Lites champion is a weapon on the purpose-built stadium tracks, and has a solid chance of claiming an X Games gold medal.

Meanwhile, Wood is out to improve on his sixth placing at the 2009 X Games, and will be up against the likes of BMX legends Chad Kagy, Steve McCann and Ryan Nyquist as he pushes for his first X Games medal.

We wish all four lads the best of luck and look forward to seeing the medals!
