JRMX Academy Bootcamp a huge success

Some of Australia's and New Zealand's best young riders converged on the Gold Coast last week to get their mettle tested at the hands of MotoDevelopment coaches Chris Urquhart and Shane Booth, and factory Kawasaki racer Dean Ferris.

The Unit Junior MX Academy riders of Jay Wilson (NSW), Sam Martin (Vic), Kurt Waterman (SA), Richie Evans (Qld), Dylan Wilson (NSW), Haki Waller (NZ) and Mason Rowe (Qld) were part of the first-ever Academy Bootcamp, and were subjected to all sorts of physical and mental challenges.

The two days were a blur of grulletng fitness tests, intensive riding sessions, lectures, night golf, a brutal morning with multi-time Ironman Guy Andrews, then more riding until the boys could barely stand up.

With the hard work finally over the boys had a chance to relax with a session at the indoor go-karts and a morning of wakeboarding with Unit founder Paul Everest.

The first JRMX Academy Bootcamp was a raging success and will become an annual event as Unit helps further junior careers and breed the next generation of champions.
