Tye Simmonds 2010 Pre Season Update

Unit motocross rider Tye Simmonds battled through the 2009 Australasian Super X series with an injured knee, but still recorded some very strong results.

Now, fresh from knee surgery, Tye is back to 100% and looking to dominate his first year in the Pro Opens category of the Australian MX Nationals.

"I've been training on the Gold Coast with Tim Cole doing the Stephen Gall fitness program," says Tye.

"It's been awesome fun, I loved hanging out with the guys and it has definitely helped with my knee rehabilitation."

A combination of cardio and strength training has given Tye the best possible chance of rehabilitation once he gets back onto the bike.

"The KTM 350 SX-F is set to arrive at my house in a few weeks, and my mechanic Craig Behl from JDR Motorex KTM Racing is coming out to Bourke to test with me, and get me back into racing after my knee surgery.

"I've done everything I can rehab wise to maintain my fitness, so moving ahead once the KTM 350 SX F arrives here my whole attention will be focused on bike time."
